Kenyan Poverty - Is Anything Really Being Done?

The perpetual poverty problems in Nairobi have gone on too long. Now there are more folks living in urban slums or right outside the city than the number of people living normally there. Not long ago, a very concerned lady contacted our Think Tank and said she was determined to have this problem solved and said she would work tirelessly to round up the people needed to do just that.

However, one of the problems in such places is that you cannot solve the problem by committee, it must be done from within and you just have to do it. I was doing research on the issues in Nairobi, with prostitution, HIV-AIDS, the slums, etc. These are huge issues, yes. But all the Musicians, Davos Meetings, German Solution Providers, Corrupt Kenyan Government, NGOs and do-gooders.

It appears all the experts have been talking and talking and talking, with no action. And mind you Kenya, is getting a lot of play these days due to our need to root out Al Qaeda recruiters there, Senator Obama, and the nation being on the world stage. This is a global problem, in Kenya, well that’s just one country in the whole world.

So, the millions of “experts” are not worth a hill of beans to me. Their solutions don’t work and the nation refuses to get rid of the real problem, ignores the real problems and takes endless funding income and disperses it not to the poor but the corrupt people with their hands out, who are suppose to be overseeing the solution problem. Worse, do you know how bad the spread of HIV-AIDS is with prostitution so ramped?
